PrestaShop bulk product editing - catalog editor

Changing one price takes a moment. Changing prices, specific prices, stock levels or descriptions across a thousand products can take a whole day and carries the risk of mistakes. AJIT Bulk Product Editor moves such operations into a single wizard and lets you run them on all products that match the selected conditions.

This is not just a simple price editor. The module covers 25 product fields and more than 24 operations, a separate combinations tab, a task queue, dry-run, history and an undo mechanism with conflict detection.

You can filter by categories, net and gross price, specific prices, carriers, visibility, dates, combinations, weight, tags, duplicate references or last sale, among others. Filter presets let you return to recurring sets of conditions.

Prices, specific prices, categories, SEO and much more

Operations include prices with percentage and amount formulas, .99/.90 endings, net/gross prices, specific prices with date, time and customer group, categories, carriers, manufacturer, VAT, stock, weight, suppliers, features, as well as SEO fields and multilingual descriptions. For texts, operations such as set, search-replace, append and prepend are available.

Separate handling of combinations

The COMBINATIONS tab covers 16 fields: price impact, wholesale price, references, EAN, stock levels, default combination, images by attribute, specific prices per combination, deletion, generation of missing combinations and copying settings from the default combination.

Dry-run, history and safe UNDO

Before running a task you can start a dry-run. The module records the history of operations, and UNDO works per record and does not overwrite later changes when it detects a conflict.

Queue, resuming and scheduling

Large tasks are split into batches. The runner works via AJAX or CRON, and an operation can be resumed or cancelled. Task templates can be run on a daily, weekly or monthly schedule.

Who is this module for?

It is a tool for stores with a larger catalog, where the administrator regularly makes repetitive changes. The more products and combinations you have, the more time you save compared with editing individual product sheets.

Can I check the changes before saving?

Yes. Dry-run mode lets you analyze the planned operation without applying it to your data.

Can a bulk change be undone?

Yes. The module has safe per-record UNDO with conflict control.

Does it edit combinations?

Yes. It has a separate combinations tab with 16 supported fields and a range of operations.

Can I schedule a recurring task?

Yes. Templates can run daily, weekly or monthly via CRON.

Product selection

Catalog search and filters: You narrow the scope by phrase, category, manufacturer, carrier, features, tags, visibility and active status. This is selection before the change, not automatic editing of the whole catalog.
Ranges and missing data: Price, quantity, weight and date filters help you select products with specific parameters. Filters for specific prices, combinations, missing data and duplicate references are also available.

Content and visibility

Name, descriptions and SEO: You can prepare changes to the name, short and long description, meta title, meta description and friendly URL in the appropriate language.
Status and purchase availability: The fields for active status, visibility, availability for order, price display, online-only sale and the sale flag control different aspects of product publication.

03 / Prices and stock

Prices and stock

Selling price, cost price and taxes: You choose a field and an operation on its value. The cost price is a separate piece of information from the selling price, and the tax group determines how tax is calculated.
Stock, minimum and availability date: Stock level, minimum purchase quantity and availability date are independent parameters; changing one does not automatically change the others.
Weight and additional shipping: Weight affects product data used, among other things, for delivery. The additional shipping cost is a separate field. Weight can be shared across stores in a multistore setup.

Assignments and control

Categories, manufacturer, suppliers and features: Operations modify catalog associations according to the selected scope and change method.
Carriers: You can replace, add or remove carrier restrictions. An empty restriction list means no limitation to selected carriers.
Undo and conflicts: Undo handling checks for conflicts with later changes. Bulk operations should first be tested on a small group and performed after preparing a catalog backup.
