The sliders work with the ps_facetedsearch module. The selected range is used for actual filtering of the list, not just for visually hiding products.

Before deployment you need to tidy up feature values and check the filter configuration. Uniform units and consistent parameter notation make it easier for customers to compare the offer.

Filter visibility in categories

Category selection: You expand a category to see the filters taken from its ps_facetedsearch template. Categories without configured filters do not create their own list here.
Checked and unchecked filters: Checked filters are visible right away. Unchecked ones go under “Show more filters” and are not removed from the filtering configuration.
Select all and copy to subcategories: The first option quickly changes the whole list. The second carries the visibility settings over to subcategories when the parent category is saved.
