PrestaShop 301 redirects and 404 errors - URL manager

A changed product address, a deleted category, a store migration or a rebuilt URL structure leave 404 errors and redirect chains behind. The bigger the store, the harder it is to manage them by hand in server files.

301, 302, 307 and 410 with regex support

Rules can work as exact or regex with $1/$2 groups. You set them separately per language and store, with a priority, a keep_query option and a hit counter.

404 logger and one-click redirect

The module logs broken addresses, supports an ignored URL list and log retention. From a 404 entry you can start creating a 301 rule with one click.

Duplicate, loop and chain scanners

It includes a scanner for duplicated link_rewrite/url_rewrite and an analysis of orphaned redirects, including loops, chains and duplicates.

Friendly URL without IDs

A custom Dispatcher + Link override creates clean addresses for products, categories and CMS pages. The engine works parent-first and has a collision gate that blocks activation when slugs are ambiguous. LeoBlog integration is also included.

Safe override installation

The installer detects third-party overrides, makes a backup and allows a rollback. It also has a mechanism that prepares the migration of existing redirects from purls.

What can you configure in the module panel?

01 / Custom page addresses

Custom page addresses

Object type and ID: You select a product, category or CMS page and its identifier. The module binds the new path to that object.
Path, language, store and status: You enter the path without the domain, leading slash and language prefix. Language and store define the scope, and the status enables the entry.

02 / Redirects

Redirects

Source address and target: The source is the path to handle. The target can be a local path or a full URL. With a 410 response, the target can stay empty.
HTTP code and regex: The code defines the response type. Regex lets you match patterns and use groups in the target; it requires care so that other pages are not caught by accident.
Querystring, language and store: The switch decides whether address parameters are carried over. Language and store limit the rule's scope.
Status and note: Disabling stops the rule from being applied while keeping the entry. The note documents its purpose.
